Air Dispersion Modeling

Aquaterra utilizes sophisticated modeling tools to evaluate offsite impacts of our industrial client’s emissions from air pollution sources. Utilizing these modeling tools, Aquaterra’s team of modeling professionals can expertly determine baseline pollutant concentrations, evaluate compliance with the NAAQS, analyze PSD increment availability, establish baseline pollutant concentrations, assess visibility and environmental impacts in Class I areas, and evaluate hazardous contaminant levels with risk based thresholds. Aquaterra can also coordinate the pre-construction ambient air quality monitoring required by some PSD applications. We have a track record of successfully tailoring the selection of EPA-approved model or models, meteorological data, receptor placement, and model options (terrain, wind profile, downwash considerations, etc.) to develop modeling protocols for industry-specific applications that are readily approved by the appropriate regulatory agency.
