Aquaterra has performed construction management, observation, and quality assurance services at a variety of sites across the Midwest, ranging from periodic onsite construction inspection to providing full-time resident field engineers on a range of projects including conventional, turn-key, and design-build efforts. Each Aquaterra construction project is managed by a registered professional engineer who is closely attuned to the requirements of the project design criteria. Aquaterra has developed a comprehensive recordkeeping system that is used by our construction field engineers and project managers to fully document each component during construction.
Aquaterra performed construction oversight and inspection during the design build project to install a new fuel storage and dispensing facility for the City of Columbia, Missouri. The new facility included three aboveground petroleum storage tanks (AST`s) for two product dispensers, one gear-driven pump and island, concrete slab and foundations, lighting, leak detection system, and Petro-Vend chip key system.
The Aquaterra design build project was completed within budget and to the satisfaction of the City and consisted of the following components:
- Facility design including project manual and plan sheets of the petroleum handling facility details
- Underground piping and conduit runs
- Foundation, tank pad and dispenser island concrete construction
- Installation of three ASTs, ranging in capacity from 300 to 12,000 gallons (Flameshield, double steel wall tanks with interstitial monitoring)
- Product piping and spill containment including a remote fill station
- Installation of submersible pumps, mechanical line leak detectors and product dispensers for diesel and gasoline products
- Installation of lighting and protective bollards
- Installation of a Petro-Vend K-800 chip key dispensing system
- Providing construction quality assurance services during the fueling facility construction
- Providing an operations manual
- Providing an as-built record documentation report
