Environmental Planning

Aquaterra recognizes the critical challenges our clients face in assessing the environmental impacts of their projects and resulting economic decisions. We understand that many facilities are located in or near sensitive ecosystems and environments. We recognize and often face critical challenges in assessing the potential for environmental impacts of various decisions and policies to health and safety, the environment, infrastructure, and demographics. We routinely assist our clients in assessing these impacts by a thorough review of existing and planned projects and providing analyses that lead to a sound and economically feasible approach. Our highly qualified staff work together to develop pragmatic, effective solutions that minimize impacts and efficiently move projects forward for all applicable local, state, and federal regulations, including NEPA, wetland regulations put forth in Section 404, Section 106 of the National Historical Preservation Act, transportation (49CFR Part 195), and Threatened and Endangered Species. Our planning and facility siting services experience includes projects for oil and gas companies (e.g., pipelines and associated assets), electrical and water utilities, private clients, municipalities, and the Federal government, including NEPA-driven Environmental Impact Statements (EIS) and Environmental Assessments (EA) for projects proposed by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), and the Bureau of Indian Affairs.
