Underground Storage Tank Closures and Assessments

Aquaterra has the experience and expertise to perform underground storage tank (UST) closures and assessments which may be required when a system is upgraded, replaced, or removed. We have assisted owner operators throughout the Midwest assess their UST and ancillary systems for compliance with federal and state requirements and we have worked with multiple petroleum retailers to establish standard operating procedures to aid in their efforts to achieve and maintain regulatory compliance. We understand that an operating station that is being refreshed or remodeled requires a different timeline and strategy than a closed facility and we have a demonstrated track record assisting these clients in the necessary regulatory hurdles to close out the prior system and put in place the new system. Aquaterra also has a demonstrated track record working at contaminated owner operator sites as well as orphan sites navigating the complex regulatory framework for corrective action and petroleum remediation which varies from state to state and often from case to case. We are sensitive to the various requirements of each type of client and can assist with an effective strategy to assess potential environmental impairments and effectively move the release site toward No Further Action. Aquaterra maintains a compliment of staff licensed to provide UST support throughout our service region and we have in place subcontract agreements with project partners that can assist in the heavy equipment needs of your project as well as the specialty testing needs (i.e. tank tightness testing) of your project.
