When working on solid waste sites, sometimes you just have to get your boots dirty! Aquaterra can provide a number of onsite services to solid waste clients, including piping installation and repair (gas system, storm water, or leachate), pump maintenance, sampling and monitoring, and overall troubleshooting. We show up prepared and understand that safety is a requirement, not an option.
In July 2005, Aquaterra began operating and maintaining the gas collection and control system at the Lemons Landfill. Operations, reporting and monitoring is being conducted in accordance with the Title V permit. Operations of the gas collection system includes: monthly wellfield balancing and monitoring of the 56 landfill gas extraction wells, monitoring of the 16 perimeter gas monitoring probes, evaluation of the flare chart recorder data, ambient air quality monitoring, and Method 22 visual emissions testing. Part of our services include performance of regular maintenance to the gas collection and control system. On the gas collection system Aquaterra extends wells and replaces piping as needed when waste is placed in the vicinity of the gas collection system. On the flare system, services include such tasks as greasing the blower and motor, draining the condensate knockout on gas analyzer, draining condensate from the stack and blower, inspecting the general working order of the system components and performing flare and LFG system troubleshooting when problems occur.
